S Fla girl to compete in Westminster Dog Show

Jolie Dreiling to compete with dog Pippy

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – An 11-year-old girl and her dog from Miami Beach will compete in the Westminster Dog Show.

Jolie Dreiling lives the typical life of a fifth grader, complete with a pink room and three dogs, including Pippy, who will compete with her.

"I love them more than anything," she told Local 10's Andrea Brody.

Dreiling will be one of the youngest handlers in the Westminster Dog Show.

"I'm blown away. I've watched it on TV and here I am and they're going to go, 'Here comes Chinese crested number.' Words cannot even express how proud I am of my daughter," said Mary Dreiling, Jolie's mother.

Dreiling began handling less than two years ago. She bought Pippy as a family pet and decided to enter a show one weekend.

She later won a lottery to compete in the Westminster Dog Show.

"I'm very excited," said Dreiling. "I love dogs and can't wait to be there."

Dreiling and Pippy leave for New York this weekend.
