Man buys knife, threatens employees at Miramar Publix

MIRAMAR, Fla. – Police are asking the public for help in identifying a man who threatened employees at a Miramar Publix with a knife he purchased at the store.

According to the police report the suspect was acting oddly on July 27 while at the store at 9951 Miramar Parkway.

The man was seen on two separate occasions lifting and pulling down his shirt, as if to stuff items down his pants.

The suspect then picked up an 8-10 inch butcher knife and purchased it, along with a beer and soda in the express lane.

As he was leaving the store, the man retrieved the knife from his pants and yelled "You want some of this ________?" to a store manager and employee who were following him.
