MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A 42-year-old man died Thursday night after swimming in Miami Beach, police said.
Police were called at about 7:14 p.m. near 13th Street, where the swimmer had gotten in trouble, police said. The swimmer was pulled out of the water, and police used a defibrillator in hopes of reviving him.

Firefighters then took the man to Mount Sinai Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
