MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – A 23-year-old man was shot Saturday in Miami Gardens, officials said.
It happened after 10 p.m. in the 15800 block of N.W. 42nd Avenue near Florida Memorial University.

The man was airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center. Officials said he was conscious and speaking.
A second person was robbed at gunpoint, officials said.
Authorities said the incident did not take place on the Florida Memorial University campus nearby.
