Man sought in Pembroke Pines after violent incident with wife, police say

Anyone with information on Everton Harrison asked to call 911

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – Police are looking for a man who is accused of aggravated assault, aggravated battery and false imprisonment, the Pembroke Pines Police Department said Sunday.

Everton Harrison, 62, was last seen driving a brown or bronze 2010 Range Rover with Florida tags reading 481TXR, officers said.

Harrison was hurt during an incident and may be seeking medical attention. He is considered extremely dangerous, police said. Harrison has black hair and brown eyes. He is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 200 pounds.

About 12:50 p.m., in the 13300 block of NW 11 Street, police went out to investigate an incident involving domestic violence, police said.

Based on preliminary information, officers determined Harrison attacked his wife, according to a news release. He burned her with hot water while she was in bed, police said.

The victim pleaded with Harrison to take her to a hospital and he agreed, officers said.

But once the pair entered a vehicle, Harrison refused to drive the woman to receive medical attention and instead, drove around along U.S. Highway 27, police said.

At some point, Harrison stopped the car, got out along the highway and found some bottles along the brush on the side of the road, the news release said. He broke the bottles, cut himself on both of his arms, got back into the vehicle and drove the victim back to the couple’s home, officers said.

The pair had driven for an hour or two before they returned to the house. The victim was able to escape and call police from a neighbor’s home, officers said. She was then taken to a hospital.

It’s not clear how badly Harrison is injured. He’s now considered missing and endangered.

Anyone with information on Harrison’s whereabouts is asked to call the department or 911 immediately.
