MIAMI - A 38-year-old man who police say was caught on surveillance video stealing from a home Monday in Miami has been arrested.

Miami police said Johnny Carvajal, 38, has been arrested and charged with one count of unoccupied burglary for each incident, the burglary on Southwest 25th Road and one count of unoccupied burglary for Southwest 26th Road.

A witness saw a dark-colored vehicle parked in the driveway of the home on Southwest 26th Road, police said. When he approached, the driver yelled for the other man, who then ran out of the home with a pillowcase that had $50,000 worth of jewelry and cash inside.

A short time later, the men burglarized a home in the 500 block of Southwest 25th Road.

At the time of his arrest, police said Jacqueline Garcia, 40, was arrested and charged with one count of grand theft auto, and Howard Jaime, 39, for an outstanding bench warrant on petit theft.

Detectives continue to investigative the cases, while officials said one suspect remains at large.

Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to call Miami-Dade Crimestoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
