Car wraps around tree, killing 2 young So Fla men

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. ā€“ A memorial continues to grow for two young men who died after a single car crash in Coral Springs on Christmas morning.

Officers said the car was likely speeding when the crash happened Wednesday around 5:30 a.m. in the 11000 block of Lakeview Drive.

According to police, the dark-colored Mitsubishi was traveling eastbound on Lakeview Drive when it missed the curve, ran off the road and slammed into a tree.

Early morning crews at the scene said the vehicle's front end was touching the rear end.

The area of 11900 Lakeview Drive was blocked off while police investigated.

Police identified the driver as 22-year-old Jonathan Joseph Lawrence Clarke of Coral Springs, and the passenger as 22-year-old Travis Mark Wilson of Lauderhill.
