Gregory Bishop charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault

MIAMI - Police in Miami-Dade arrested a man who, they said, shot a business owner after an argument.

Gregory Bishop was arrested early Wednesday.

According to an arrest report, Bishop, 33, got into an argument with the owner of a business at 22401 South Dixie Highway on Tuesday afternoon about the repair of his vehicle. During the argument, Bishop shot the business owner in the throat.

Police said Bishop and another person exchanged fire before Bishop drove away. He was arrested a short time later.

The shooting victim was airlifted to Kendall Regional. The shooting victim's condition was not immediately released.

Bishop was charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault with a firearm.
