Miami-Dade police seek armed robber; victim targted outside convenience store

Victim has chain stolen; hit in face by gun

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. ā€“ Miami-Dade police are searching for a man who assaulted and robbed a man outside of a convenience store on April 21.

The incident happened at about noon in the 1700 block of Northwest 69th Terrace, police said.

The robber followed the victim as he left the store, pointed a semi-automatic firearm at him and then took a chain from the victimā€™s neck, police said. When the victim tried to flee by running back into the store, the robber hit him in the face and head with the firearm.

The victim was eventually able to run into the store, where he was helped by clerks.

The robber fled eastbound on Northwest 69th Terrace.

The robber is believed to be between 28 and 33 years old, about 5 foot 7 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds.
