Miami Dolphins player's wife asks judge for permission to travel to London

Miko Grimes arrested last Sunday outside Sun Life Stadium

MIAMI - The wife of a Miami Dolphins player who was arrested outside Sun Life Stadium last weekend appeared in court Thursday morning and asked a judge for permission to leave the country.

An attorney for Miko Grimes, who is married to Dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes, asked a Miami-Dade County judge if she could travel to London to watch her husband play Sunday against the New York Jets. The judge granted her request.

According to a Miami-Dade police report, Miko Grimes broke through a barricade of police bicycles and entered a restricted area after disobeying several orders from officers to stop. Police said she became combative and head-butted an officer while she was in handcuffs.

Police said Miko Grimes became belligerent, screaming, "F--- you, cops. You can't tell me what to do."

Video showing her arrest was posted to Instagram and YouTube.

Miko Grimes left court without speaking to reporters.
