MAIMI - The Miami Marlins lost again on Thursday afternoon, this time to the hands of a hacker who infiltrated the team's Facebook account.

According to Deadspin, a popular sports blog, the team fell victim to hackers who posted the Marlins would be hosting a free pitbull night where the first 10,000 fans under 18 would receive a dog.

The Marlins were one of many teams whose accounts were hacked on Thursday; a group that included the Yankees whose fans received a Facebook update that said Derek Jeter would miss the rest of the season due to "sexual reassignment surgery."

All of the hacked updates have since been taken down and no one has claimed responsibility for the pranks.
