Miami massage therapist loses license for inappropriately touching women, Florida DOH says

3 women say they were inappropriately touched by Michael Argyle Arnspiger

MIAMI – The Florida Department of Health has ordered an emergency restriction on the license of a Miami massage therapist after he inappropriately touched multiple women, health officials said.

According to a DOH document, a long-time client of Michael Argyle Arnspiger said that she had to move Arnspiger's hands on two occasions in 2014 to prevent him from touching her inappropriately.

Another woman said Arnspiger sexually assaulted her during a massage on Aug. 10, 2016. The woman said that she asked Arnspiger whether she should keep her underwear on during the massage and he told her it would be better if she removed her underwear so he would have "easier access to her muscles."

The woman said he touched her near her breast and touched the outer part of her vagina at the beginning of the massage, and later on he performed oral sex on her, digitally penetrated her and placed her hand on his penis.

According to the document, a third woman said she received three massages from Arnspiger this year, where he touched her vagina each time. She said he told her on her second visit to remove her underwear so that he did not "have to fight panties while working on (her) lower back and legs."

Health officials said Arnspiger offered two of the women free massages after their visits.

Because of the allegations against him, health officials determined that "Arnspiger does not possess the judgment or moral character necessary to safely practice massage therapy," the report said. "Mr. Arnspiger's sexual behavior with three female patients demonstrates his blatant disregard for the laws and regulations governing massage therapy and represents a significant likelihood that Mr. Arnspiger will cause harm to female clients in the future."

It was not immediately known whether Arnspiger is facing criminal charges because of the allegations.
