FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - An elderly woman who had been missing from her home since Monday was reunited with her family Wednesday.

Charlie Mae Freeman, 81, who suffers from dementia had been missing from her home on the 400 block of Northwest 17th Avenue and although police did not suspect foul play, they were concerned for her safety.

On Tuesday, 81-year-old Charlie Mae Freeman's daughter, Sibyl Freeman, asked for the public to help locate her mother.

On Wednesday morning, Fort Lauderdale Police released a statement, saying she had been found safe.

No other details were made available.
