Model Accused In Crash That Killed UM Student Out Of Jail

Valentina Hubsch Released On $10,000 Bond

MIAMI - A South Florida model, accused of leaving the scene of a crash that left a University of Miami student dead, was released from a Miami jail Tuesday night.

Valentina Hubsch was arrested and charged on Tuesday in the crash that killed University of Miami student Jared Paul Jones.

Jones was walking on the 4500 block of Red Road in Coral Gables on Nov. 13 when he was struck by a car driven by Hubsch, investigators said.

He died days later at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Hubsch did not comment after being released from jail.

"She's remorseful for the tragedy," her attorney said. "It's a loss for everyone. It's a sad day for her too."
