Abi Bechtel says she was offended by a sign that read "building sets" and "girl's building sets."

The mother of three boys became so upset, she took a picture of the sign and tweeted it out to her followers.

Bechtel's tweet read "Target, don't do this."

"It makes it seem like it's so normal for building sets to be for boys, and oh by the way, girls can build stuff too, we guess," said Bechtel.

Her tweet to Target has been retweeted more than 2,000 times.

Target also responded to the woman's tweet.

A representative for the store says they are taking Bechtel's concerns seriously and are reviewing their options.

"I would love to see more of the conversation around how we gender things for kids that don't need to be gendered," said Bechtel.
