No weapon found at North Miami Senior High School

School placed on lockdown for several hours Monday

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – North Miami Senior High School was placed on lockdown for several hours Monday after reports of a weapon on campus.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools officials said no weapon was found on campus.

The principal received a tip that there was a gun was on campus, prompting Miami-Dade schools police to place the campus on lockdown. 

It's unclear who made the accusations about weapons possibly being on the campus and whether any students were questioned.
