Opa-locka Flea Market open despite flooding

OPA-LOCKA, Fla. – The Opa-locka Flea Market remained open despite flooding from Wednesday's storms.

"Open up here seven days a week," said Ray Cortes. "Six to six every day, rain, sunshine, it don't matter. Snow -- we don't get no snow but it don't matter."

A man who owns a cell phone stand opened, but said business was slow. One customer buying electronics called the rain refreshing.

"When our customers are still coming in as you can see, we're open up as business as usual," said Cortes.

Some women in northwest Miami-Dade County carried their shoes as they walked to their cars.
