Parents of missing teen worry she may have been trafficked

Sophie Reeder hasn't been seen since May 19

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Sophie Reeder's parents are worried about their daughter.

The 15-year-old girl from Fort Lauderdale disappeared May 19 and has not been seen since.

"I checked on her at 12:30. She was up," Patrick Reeder said. "Then that was the last time I saw her."

Reeder lives with her father and began attending virtual school after she was diagnosed with a mental illness.

Her parents worry that she could be caught up with a predator or human traffickers because of  information they found on her computer. They said they have not seen any signs of her and they are getting more and more worried as the days go by.

"I want her to know that I love her," Nicole Twist said about her daughter. "We all love her, and it's not too late for her to come home."

Twist last saw her daughter on Mother's Day and said she was in good spirits that day.

"She's very vulnerable because she's home schooled, and so she has free time on her hands to be on the computer," Twist said.

Anyone with information about Reeder is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS or Twist at 954-709-7839.
