According to police, Cook shot Pamela Chamberlain, 22, in the 6500 block of Grant Court on June 16.

Chamberlain's father told police she was waiting outside to meet her ex-boyfriend, Sherard "Prince" Adams, before she was shot. Adams told police that he said he was coming by to see Chamberlain but planned to blow her off.

An informant later told police Cook bragged about killing Chamberlain, according to an arrest warrant. When the informant met with Cook, police learned he received $5,000 for the murder and was due to get $5,000 more.

According to police, Cook said Adams (pictured below) arranged the hit because Chamberlain threatened to blackmail him over illegal credit card activity. Police are investigating Adams' involvement in the case.
