DAVIE, Fla. - Police are searching for a man who they say may have stolen several vehicles before selling them under a different identity.

Yasmany Martinez, 26, sold a 2011 Infiniti G37 to a buyer. During the transaction Martinez identified himself as 27-year-old Roger Matthew Fernandez, police said.

When trying to register the car in Collier County, the buyer was informed the vehicle was possibly stolen.

Police said Martinez contacted the buyer Thursday offering to sell another another 2011 Infinity G37. That buyer then contacted police, who determined that the vehicle Martinez was trying to sell was stolen from Infinity of Coconut Creek just hours before.

Martinez has reportedly sold several other vehicles in the same manner, mostly Infiniti G37s.

Police are asking anyone who may have purchased a car from Martinez, or anyone who may recognize him from visiting a dealership is asked to contact the Davie Police Department at 954-693-8200/
