Police seek burglary suspect

Man posed as maintenance worker

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Police are looking for the man who tried to burglarize a home in Coral Springs on August. 21st.

According to investigators, the man pulled up to a home in a silver pick-up truck. He walked up to the door, carrying a notepad, and knocked. When no one answered he pretended to write something down.

He then went back to the truck and put on a tool belt, as if he is a maintenance worker. 

Surveillance video then shows him walking to the rear of the house and smashing out the cabana window with a hammer.

When the burglar alarm sounded, he fled without getting any property.

Police say they are trying to identify the man because the homeowner has been burglarized in the past.

Detectives say the truck the man was driving has notable damage and the rear passenger side rim is different than the other three rims.
