Investigators say man steals miscellaneous personal property estimated at $100K

MIAMI-DADE, Fla. - Miami-Dade police are asking for the public's assistance in helping to identify a man wanted in connection to several residential burglaries.

Detectives say the man typically burglarizes at night and will surveil the home for an hour or two, looking into windows and locating video surveillance equipment.

Police said the man then tampers with video equipment before he breaks into the home. Investigators said he has stolen miscellaneous personal property estimated at over $100,000.

In some of the burglaries, police said the man flees in a dark-colored Hummer, possibly driven by a second unknown suspect.

Investigators said they believe this man is responsible for several burglaries throughout the Midwest District.

Surveillance video captured the image of the man and investigators said they are seeking the assistance of the community in helping to identify him.

Police describe the man as a tall and thin male around the ages of 20 to 25, approximately 6-foot to 6-foot, 2-inches tall and weighing 160 to 170 pounds. Officials said the man has a trimmed beard and long hair.
