Police seek missing Miami woman with Alzheimer's

MIAMI - Police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing 75-year-old Miami woman who is afflicted with Alzheimer's disease.

Miami-Dade police said Deisy Alcolea, 75, went missing Thursday from the 251st block of SW 125th Avenue in Miami.

In addition to suffering from Alzheimer's, police say Alcolea is also bipolar. She has not taken her prescribed medication in several months, said police.

On Thursday, police said Alcolea left the home driving her 2010 Silver Honda CRV utility vehicle, bearing a Florida license plate reading 407-YPK.

Alcolea is described by police as a white or Hispanic woman, approximately 5-foot tall and weighing 145 pounds, with blonde hair and green eyes.
