TRUMP ATTORNEY: āNO GUILTY PLEA'
Trump attorney Joe Tacopina said the former president's appearance in court for Tuesdayās arraignment would be brief because the processing ādoes not take long.ā
āIt wonāt be a long day in court,ā he said on ABCās āGood Morning America.ā
"We know the basis of the indictment and the factual allegations in the indictment,ā Tacopina said, adding Trump would maintain his innocence.
āOne thing I can assure you as I sit here today, thereāll be no guilty plea in this case. Thatās one thing I can guarantee you,ā he said.
Tacopina appeared to predict the case would ultimately be dismissed.
āI donāt think this case is going to see a juror,ā he said. āI think thereās a legal challenge that will be made and should be made successfully.ā
