WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday at the White House.
Zelenskyy and Netanyahu were in Washington, D.C., to attend the funeral for Sen. Lindsey Graham, who died on July 11 at 71 after returning from Kyiv.
Netanyahu described the meeting with Trump as “a conversation” about “the common goal of ensuring that Iran does not have nuclear weapons.”
Meanwhile, Zelenskyy had reported Russia had provided satellite images to Iran of U.S. military bases in the Persian Gulf.
“The President and I discussed licenses for Patriot interceptor production and several other ideas that could help,” Zelenskyy wrote in a statement about the surface-to-air missiles.
Trump told reporters on Air Force One that he plans to discuss Zelenskyy’s report with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“I don’t think they’ve been doing it, certainly not at a high level, and if they have, it has been very un-impactful,” Trump said.
