Restaurant owner with machete-like object ordered shut again

Rodent activity found again in Priya's Roti Shop in Coral Springs

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – A restaurant owner who came out of his kitchen with a machete or large cooking tool when approached by Local 10 cameras was ordered shut by the state again last week.

Two weeks ago, Priya's Roti Shop was ordered shut after a dead rodent was found in the kitchen and rodent gnaw marks were found on potatoes.

State inspectors found more rodent issues in Priya's Roti Shop in Coral Springs last week and ordered the doors shut.

Canton Express in Hialeah, Antonios in Deerfield Beach and Lutong Pinoy Filipino Cuisine in Pembroke Pines were all also ordered shut due to roach infestations.

Below is a list of places ordered shut and some of their violations.

All the places mentioned were allowed to re-open following an ordered clean up and re-inspection.

Observed 10 moist droppings under the water heater and 2 large food storage bins in the kitchen. Observed 8 moist droppings under the flat grill on the cook's line. Observed 17 moist droppings in the cabinet behind the front counter. Observed approximately 20-25 on the floor next to the beer cooler behind the front counter. Unable to reach these droppings to determine if they are moist or dry. Operator began to clean up the droppings. **Repeat Violation**"
