17-year-old Evan Page was gunned down at a fastfood restaurant during a robbery attempt

MIAMI - A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the gunman who killed a 17-year-old boy at a South Florida Checkers restaurant.

Evan Antwan Page, 17, was fatally shot on Nov. 29, 2005, during a robbery at a Checkers restaurant at 2645 NW 183rd St.

Police said Page and a friend were parked in the drive-through lane at the time of the attack. Page fought back, but he died as a result of his wounds, police said.

The killer was in his late teens or early 20s, police said.

Page was a police Explorer, a member of the Junior OTC and a student of Carol City High School.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward, and the North Dade Violent Crimes fund is offering $4,000 for information leading to an arrest.
