MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - A security guard who was in his uniform heading to work Sunday morning was shot before being robbed.
His family flew in from Jamaica to try and be with him before he died.
"You leave a mother hurting. You leave a sister hurting. You leave everybody hurting, so please just stop," Lileith Johnson said.
Johnson held her daughter-in-law -- now a widow -- clutching her husband's personal belongs: his passport and family photos.
The two just recently married in December, starting a whole new life together, but it was a life cut short when Milton Morrison, 42, was gunned down while heading to work Sunday.
He was walking to a bus stop when he was shot and his wallet was taken.
Morrison was shot numerous times, according to family members, less than a block from his home near NW 17th Avenue and 173rd Street in Miami Gardens.
Neighbors said he was dressed in uniform. And after he was shot he ran back home. But the 42-year-old wouldn't make it.
Friends said they don't understand how a man who's never been in trouble could be gunned down in the street like he was.
