Small plane forced to make emergency landing in Everglades

Pilot, 2 passengers on board OK after landing in Everglades National Park

EVERGLADES, Fla. – A small plane was forced to make an emergency landing Saturday morning in the Everglades.

The plane, which took off from Kendall Tamiami Airport, had to land at the Shark Valley Nature Preserve in Everglades National Park.

The pilot and two passengers made it out of the plane OK.

The National Park Service and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating.
