MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - Peter Rosello, the son of The Real Housewives of Miami's Alexia Echevarria, is wanted for battery on a homeless person, said Miami Beach police.

In a video posted to YouTube, police said Rosello is seen punching Gary Lee Brown, who was asleep, in the groin.

"We didn't know if it was Miami Beach or not, so immediately we notified our homeless outreach team to see if they could identify the victim," said Miami Beach Police Sgt. Bobby Hernandez.

Brown later identified Rosello, said police. Battery on a homeless person is a third-degree felony.

"The fact that he's homeless makes it a third-degree felony. If it wasn't a homeless individual, it would have been a first-degree misdemeanor but the charges are enhanced," said Hernandez.

Police are working with Rosello's attorney. Detectives want to ask him some questions to see if Brown accepted money for what could have been an orchestrated prank.

Brown told police it was not planned and he was assaulted.

It is also unclear if someone else taped the incident. If so, the second person could be charged as an accessory.

According to Rosello's Facebook page, he recently graduated Monsignor Edward Pace High School

Echevarria, known as the "Cuban Barbie," is the executive editor for Venue Magazine.

The Real Housewives of Miami is in its second season on Bravo.

If convicted, Rosello could be sentenced to five years in prison.
