Boca Raton Police said Keon Cunnington, 20, and John Williams, 17, ambushed three people at the library on Northwest 2nd Avenue on February 27.

Detectives said the victims were getting ready to drive away, when Cunnington and Williams approached on the hoverboards. The victims said the suspects pulled guns on them and demanded their stuff. The victims said the pair rolled off with a black leather backpack, but were not able to steal the other victims' purse and wallet.

During the course of the investigation, detectives said they learned the hoverboards were stolen several hours earlier during another robbery. During that robbery, the suspects took off in a Honda with a Florida tag registered to an address in Lauderhill.

Detectives said they used that information to arrest Cunnington and Williams.
