Teenager missing in waters near Boynton Beach

Coast Guard aiding in search effort to find 16-year-old

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Coast Guard crews are aiding in the search for a missing 16-year-old in the water near Boynton Beach Inlet.

According to a Coast Guard representative, the teenage boy was reported missing around 7:45 p.m. Sunday. He had been swimming with his cousin when he went under water and did not resurface.

Crews from the Coast Guard's Station Lake Worth Inlet and an MH-65 helicopter crew from the Miami Air Station were launched to aid Palm Beach Fire Rescue and the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office in the search.
