Thief looks for winning lottery tickets

Burglar breaks into Stop N Save Food Store, steals $6,600 in lottery tickets, $200 cash

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. - The Broward Sheriff's Office is looking for a thief who has burglarized several convenience stores while searching for cash and winning lottery tickets.

Surveillance cameras captured a June 12th burglary at Stop N Save Food Store, located at 404 S. Powerline Road in Deerfield Beach.

Video showed the masked burglar gather about 1,500 scratch-off lottery tickets, worth about $6,600, into several orderly piles. He then stole the store's laptop and $200 from the cash register.

Investigators believe the thief has been involved in burglaries at three convenience stores in northern Broward County and several in Boca Raton.

Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to call BSO at 954-422-5829.
