Thief stuns employee with Taser during robbery at Miami Subway, police say

Man robbed restaurant at at 6790 West Flagler St.

MIAMI, Fla. – Police are searching for a man who they said robbed a Miami Subway restaurant after stunning an employee with a Taser.

Police said the man entered the store at 6790 West Flagler St. at about 11:13 a.m. on June 28, pulled out a Taser and demanded money from the register.

An employee said the thief purchased an item and as the employee opened the register to give him his change, he jumped over the counter and deployed the Taser, striking the victim.

The victim told police she felt a shock and backed away from the register, which is when the man took the cash from inside the register, got on a bike and headed eastbound through an alley.

The man is described as white Hispanic, between 30 and 35, approximately 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, about 150-170 pounds and has a mustache.

He was last seen wearing a black and red baseball cap, red T-shirt with a black design, beige cargo shorts, white socks and dark-colored shoes.
