MIAMI - 11:00AM - Thursday features a mix of sun and clouds across South FloridaTemperatures are on track to peak around 90 degrees with a light southeasterly breeze.  The heating of the day could give way to a few showers, or even some spotty storms.  The rain chance is 30%.  Storms will tend to dimish after sunset.  Skies will become partly cloudy during the evening and overnight and temperatures will settle in the upper 70s.  The work week ends with similar conditions on Friday.  For more details on the extended forecast or the tropics log on to

7:00AM - Sunshine mixes with clouds on Thursday as temperatures rise from the upper 70s to near 90 during the afternoon.  There could be some showers and storms across South Florida as the atmosphere heats up.  The rain chance is 30%.  Hurricane Leslie and Hurricane Michael continue to churn in the Atlantic.  Neither will impact Florida.  An area of low pressure is being monitored in the Gulf of Mexico.  It has a medium chance of developing into a Tropical Cyclone.  Log on to for more details on the tropics or the local forecast.
