NEW YORK – Uber hid the facts of a massive cyberattack that exposed the data of over 57 million users in 2016.
Hackers were able to steal names, email addresses and phone numbers in October 2016. Bloomberg reports the data came from 50 million Uber riders around the world, with 7 million drivers losing their personal information as well.

The company reportedly paid the hackers $100,000 to delete all the data and never reported the breach.
