MIRAMAR, Fla. - A candlelight vigil is being held Tuesday night in honor of a Miramar woman who has been missing for nearly a month.

Vilet Torrez, 38, of Miramar, left her children with her estranged husband on the weekend of March 30 and has not been seen since.

Police said that on March 30, Torrez went out with a male co-worker and left her three children with her husband, Cid Torrez, from whom she had separated. Cid Torrez said the plan was for him to keep the children for the weekend.

Vilet Torrez did not show up for any work appointments that weekend. Her company car was found parked in her driveway, and her other vehicle was found in the parking lot of her condo complex the next day. She has not been found.

A candlelight vigil was scheduled to be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Casa Cana Church in Hialeah.

Cid Torrez has since lost custody of the three children, and he has been named a person of interest.
