Walmart in Fort Lauderdale evacuated after bomb threat

All clear given about 12:45 p.m.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A bomb threat has prompted the evacuation of a Walmart in Fort Lauderdale.

Fort Lauderdale police said someone claimed there was a bomb at the Walmart on West Broward Boulevard.

Walmart evacuated the store as a precaution.

The bomb squad and a bomb-sniffing dog were at the Walmart.

Some would-be customers were turned away. Others waited for the store to reopen.

Police gave the all clear about 12:45 p.m.
