In posts to his Instagram account, Tereshin's arms appear red and purple. However, even after being warned by doctors of the possibility of amputation or paralysis, he is still injecting himself with the enhancers.

TereshinĀ says he used to inject himself 10 times a day.

"Not immediately, but he very likely faces amputation in the future." Professor Evgeny Lilin told the Daily Mail.

Through the years, Tereshin has increased the size of biceps to 23 inches, with a goal of 27 inches.

Asked why he continues to destroy his health with the injections, TereshinĀ had a simple answer.

'I love to be recognisable.'
