WITI reports Schmunk pulled over after a short time, removed her son from the roof and folded the pool inside the minivan.

The police report claims Schmunk "believed it was OK as her father let her do things like that when she was that age."

Schmunk added that there was not enough room inside the van for her son and the pool, so she tied the boy down inside the pool and on top of the vehicle.

Charged with second degree recklessly endangering safety, Schmunk could face up 10 years in jail.
