A New Jersey man who came in last in his fantasy football league walked down a New Jersey highway for 10 minutes on Labor Day in pink women's bikini bottoms, reports The Associated Press.

Angelo Boemio, 42, carried a sign signifying his loss down Route 9 in Toms River, New Jersey, while pedestrians and motorists laughed at his expense.

"People were calling to say there's some weirdo in a bikini walking down Route 9, but the officers knew it was a product of fantasy loss, so they let us have our walk of shame," Boemio said.

This particular league started the silly rule two years ago so that participants wouldn't lose interest in the league once their team was no longer in the running to win.

"Now the league is no longer about winning," Boemio said. "It's just about not coming in last place. No one wants to be mortified."
