According to UPI, Annie Banerjee bought the vacuum from a Houston store Sunday and returned to the shopping center shortly after to complain about the box's contents. When she approached a manager, she was refused a refund and had the police called on her.

Banerjee says she may have been racially profiled by the manager, who described her as "Hispanic," though she is actually of Indian descent.

A lawsuit has yet to be filed, but Banerjee says she wants to make sure similar incidents don't happen to "somebody who looks like me."

A Target representative claims the company is looking into the matter.
