FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A former member of the Broward County School Board and her husband, who were charged with corruption for allegedly taking thousands of dollars from developers, were in court Thursday, but when will they actually go on trial?

Criminally charged former school board member Stephanie Kraft and her husband, Mitch Kraft, sat quietly in court Thursday, waiting to learn if they would face trial next week as scheduled.

Stephanie Kraft didn't say a word, just as she was silent after her bombshell arrest more than three years ago, but it turned out that the trial was delayed yet again in Judge Michael Usan's courtroom due to one of couple's defense attorneys being tied up in a murder trial.

Both wife and husband face bribery and unlawful compensation charges in connection to their relationship with developers Bruce and Shawn Chait, who have admitted to corrupt relationships with numerous politicians, including former convicted County Commissioner Joe Eggelletion, former Tamarac Commissioner Patti Atkins-Grad, who was acquitted, and suspended Tamarac Mayor Beth Flansbaum-Talabisco, who also awaits trial.

"Did you sell out the school board to a corrupt developer?" asked Local 10's Bob Norman.

Stephanie Kraft was hit with those corruption charges in 2010, with state prosecutors alleging she used her influence at the school board to help those developers get a break on school fees.

At the same time her husband, Mitch Kraft, was on the payroll of the Chaits, collecting $10,000 from them.

"Stephanie don't you think the voters deserve to hear what you have to say?" asked Norman.

At that last hearing months ago, Usan said this trial date was set in stone, but apparently not so -- the next trial date is May 19.
