MIAMI - Police on Monday arrested a woman accused of leaving the scene of a crash that partially severed a man's leg.

Johanna Cabrera faces several charges, including leaving the scene of a crash with injuries.

Cabrera, 31, was driving a SUV that hit two men, Ismael Martinez and Fidel Duarte, as they stood next to their parked pick-up truck near Southwest 64th Terrace and 8th Street about 7:25 a.m. Monday, police say.

Martinez, who had his leg reattached during surgery, was listed in critical condition. Duarte suffered minor injuries.

Police found Cabrera's SUV at Northwest 64th Avenue and 3rd Street with the help of a witness, according to an arrest affidavit. She later turned herself in to police.

"Defendant stated what had occurred with the crash and stated that she did not know that she had hit a human being and displayed great sorrow and remorse," read the arrest affidavit.

A Miami-Dade Circuit judge ordered that Cabrera not drive if she posts bail.
