Thief removed wallet from doctor's purse at medical building, police say

PLANTATION, Fla. – Plantation police are searching for a woman who stole a wallet from a doctor's purse Monday and went on a shopping spree.

Surveillance video from the Louis Vuitton store at the Aventura Mall shows a black female wearing a pink pullover sweater purchasing a $2,100 purse.

The same person was seen entering a medical building earlier in the day at 4101 NW Fourth St. in Plantation and looking for unlocked office doors.

Police said the victim, who is a doctor at the medical building, discovered that her wallet had been removed from her purse after she was notified by her bank about suspicious activity on her account.
