Woman struck in Hollywood double hit-and-run remains critical

Police release surveillance video, continue search for 2 drivers

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – New surveillance video from Hollywood police shows the moments just before a 47-year-old woman was run over as she crossed busy State Road 7 and Hollywood Boulevard.

In one of the videos released Wednesday, a car is shown stopping for Angel Larouge in the left lane but the driver in the center lane must not have seen her.

That driver left the scene but they appeared to also leave plenty of debris off their damaged car.

Hit-and-run surveillance (without hit shown)

What isn't shown in the surveillance video is the impact, as police said it was too violent to release. What is also not shown is that Larouge was hit a second time while she was lying in the middle of the road, and that driver didn't stop either.

Police are looking for a white, older-model Ford Explorer with right front-end damage, and the second car sought is a newer model light-colored or silver small model car with front and left-front wheel well damage.

Larouge was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital where she remains in critical condition. She lives alone in an apartment and only moved to Hollywood six months ago from Baltimore.

Police also released a second piece of surveillance video Wednesday, showing what they think is the driver of the first car to hit Larouge (pictured, right) pull into a gas station and watch first responders show up at the scene. He is bald with glasses and is wearing a red hat, red shirt and red shorts, police said.
