MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Colombia’s new first lady, Ana Lucía Pineda, launched the “Colombia One Heart” campaign to collect aid for the victims of the 7.4-magnitude earthquake.
Pineda included Miami-Dade County-based nonprofit Global Empowerment Mission in her list of drop-off locations for donations.
GEM was collecting camping gear, hygiene supplies, and first-aid kits from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1850 NW 84 Ave.
Pineda and the Colombian-American Chamber of Commerce also asked the public for cash donations to the Fundación Colombia Luz y Sonrisas through deposits at Banco de Bogotá account 125128462 at NIT: 9020850963.
