LeBron, Heat join DWade to remember Trayvon

MIAMI - The Miami Heat honored Trayvon Martin during their game against the Detroit Pistons Friday night. The players each had "RIP Trayvon" written on their shoes.

Hours after Dwyane Wade tweeted a picture of himself wearing a hoodie, the Miami Heat team sent out their own pic in honor of Trayvon Martin.

Earlier in the day, LeBron James posted the picture above on his Twitter page.

Several other actors and sports stars are posting pictures of themselves in hoodies in honor of the Miami Gardens teenager.

Martin was shot and killed by George Zimmerman on Feb. 26 in Sanford, according to police.. Zimmerman claimed he fired in self-defense.

There have been protests across country by people who say Zimmerman should be charged with murder.
