MARGATE, Fla. – A kitten has Margate-Coconut Creek firefighters to thank after they rescued it from the undercarriage of a woman's car.

Fire Rescue officials said the woman dropped by Fire Station 58 Tuesday morning and told firefighters that a kitten was stuck somewhere in her vehicle.

Crews found the black, brown and white kitten hiding in the undercarriage near a rear wheel.

The skittish kitten was safely removed and ran inside the station to hide.

Firefighters found it a second time and will hand it over to animal control.
