FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Lemon, a 2-year-old Staffordshire Terrier-Labrador mix, is looking for a forever home through Broward County Animal Care.
The energetic dog, who arrived at the shelter as a stray, is described as friendly with children and other dogs.
Shelter staff said Lemon enjoys playing fetch but is also content relaxing with his family.
Broward County Animal Care officials said the shelter remains overcrowded and encouraged residents to adopt or volunteer to help care for animals waiting for homes.
Prospective adopters can schedule meet-and-greets with Lemon and, if they have another dog, arrange introductions before making a decision.
